Well, they asked & asked for years & I wouldn't budge. Marriott, the mega chain hotel, wanted to list some hotels on Total Escape & I said nope. We don't list chains on Total Escape. Total Escape features the independent hotels of California. The back roads are the best.
I'll run a banner ad maybe, but not list chains inside my exclusive lodging database. Now I find them at the top of some searches. Imagine what I must feel. Do they think of my name Total Escape as a desirable keyword?
