51.8 degrees

January low temps fell to 2.4 degrees just a few weeks ago, the coldest I've ever seen it here at 5000' elevation. Now it's FEB 4th & 50 degrees at 11PM night. So mild & gorgeous in fact that I even took a moonlight stroll. I spent ALL day outside walking, gardening, collecting firewood, going on a hike w/ picnic, yoga in the sunshine at 67 degrees. Ahhh.... Crystal clear blue skies plus now capped ridges all around. Sometimes I stay alone, humming, hiking, singing to the birds... believing I live in a heavenly place. But then neighbors snap me back to reality. The local folks start a gabbin' & remind me I'm in their hell. The last of the ice has finally melted on the highway, until another storm. This is the best of SoCal Mts!
